H. Edward Black and Associates, Ltd. completed a Master Plan with the steering committee for the development of the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art.  This phased project provides the Center with art galleries, educational facilities, an outdoor amphitheater, kitchen, lobby and natural history displays.
Phase I included our firm’s master planning of the immediate 33-acre site for the Education Center; as well as the consideration of the adjacent 400-acre tract owned by the Water Authority that is at the Center’s everyday use.
An outdoor amphitheater and courtyard provide entertainment and education to the visitors of the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art. Phase I is the most recent addition to the center – construction was completed in 2014.
